Abstract

Study on prevalence and outbreak of internal parasites by fecal examinations of 192 native and cross-bred calves (aged 1-6 months 58 males and 134 females) from 9 amphoes and 49 districts of Chachoengsao province in the year 1989-1990 revealed the following internal parasites : Fasciola spp. (0.596), Eurytrema pancreaticum (1.0%), Rumen flukes (10.9%), Moniezia benedeni (4.7%), Toxocara vitulorum (2.1%), Strongyloides papillosus (19.8%), Strongylids (82.596), Trichuris spp. (1.996), Capillaria spp. (0.5%) and unsporulated oocysts of coccidian parasites (29.7%).
